MATT MITCHELL, shareholder, is a skilled litigator in the Financial Services and Real Property Litigation group who has been with the firm since 2016.
Matt is highly experienced in handling complex civil litigation matters for individuals and businesses of all sizes, including real estate, construction, shareholder disputes, wire fraud, title, financial services, employment, tortious interference, and breach of contract. Throughout his career, Matt has demonstrated an innate ability to distill complex disputes into concrete, understandable action plans that enable clients to make informed, strategic decisions regarding their matters. Matt works tirelessly and efficiently to find solutions with his clients’ best interests in mind. He prides himself on being highly responsive, tough, a creative problem-solver, and a high-level practitioner in all respects.
Matt graduated summa cum laude from Grand Valley State University in 2003. In 2006, he earned his law degree from the University of Michigan Law School in Ann Arbor. Matt is admitted to practice in Michigan and has successfully represented clients in several other federal courts across the country through strategic pro hac vice admissions. His prior professional experience includes work for a national law firm, where he was recognized as a rising star, and as an in-house compliance attorney, giving him a unique perspective from both sides of the attorney-client relationship. Matt is a proud father to two boys and is an avid, competitive amateur golfer.
