Richard M. Mitchell is a shareholder of the firm. He earned his Juris Doctor Degree from Indiana University Law School in 1991, where he served on the Indiana University Law Review. He also studied law at the University of London, England. He earned his Bachelor of Arts Degree from the University of Michigan in 1988. Mr. Mitchell focuses his practice on complex insurance coverage disputes and commercial litigation as well as professional liability defense, including insurance agents, real estate agents and financial professionals. He has authored publications and spoken in these areas. He is also a member and past president of the Detroit Chapter of the Society of Chartered Property Casualty Underwriters (CPCU), a designation granted by the American Institute for CPCU in Malvern, PA, upon the successful completion of ten examinations relating to insurance and business related topics.
