JOHN A. MACKENZIE is a member of Maddin Hauser’s Complex Litigation and Risk Advisory Practice Group. He handles a wide-range of business and real estate matters, including, general business and contractual disputes, business torts, shareholder oppression claims, supplier disputes, construction litigation, real estate commission disputes, land use and zoning issues, and various other real property matters. Mr. MacKenzie is an experienced trial attorney and regularly practices in State and Federal courts. Another part of Mr. Mackenzie’s practice is assisting businesses with Form I-9 record compliance. He is regularly called upon to counsel clients through Form I-9 inspections conducted by the Department of Homeland Security and to lecture on the topic.
Mr. MacKenzie graduated cum laude from Thomas M. Cooley Law School where he served as the Associate Editor of its Law Review. During law school, Mr. MacKenzie clerked for the Honorable Richard Caretti of Macomb County Circuit Court. He is admitted to practice law in Michigan and is a member of the Macomb County and Oakland County Bar Associations.
